![]() ![]() I don't think I would use that, personally. However my request is kind of the opposite of that: the full screen mode they're talking about is exclusive full screen, which can run at a different resolution to native. ![]() I also don't know if that would apply to macOS, though I would guess it would (there's talk of OpenGL and Linux, which I think would also apply to macOS.) I don't know if this also applies to MacOS : I believe this will be the expected behaviour for most macOS users these days - all the other games I've played on macOS recently have implemented Native Full Screen (examples: the Zachtronics puzzle games, such as Infinifactory.) Also, as well as working much better on multiple monitors, using Native Full Screen also presents a nicer user interface experience, because it enables switching in and out of Factorio using "Move Left or Right a Space" mappings, eg a simple swipe left/right on the trackpad (a two finger swipe left or right, by default.) But it's also possible that some users might not notice that they have the option to manually enter Native Full Screen. Or perhaps there could be an option to configure this, though if so I'd suggest it should be the default.įor me this is a pure convenience feature, simply meaning I don't need to manually enter Native Full Screen myself each time I launch the app. So my request is simple: on macOS, selecting Full Screen under Graphics Options should use macOS' Native Full Screen mode. I was worried I'd be forced to run in a window, but then found Factorio does already support macOS Native Full Screen - I just need to choose it from the Window menu, or open Mission Control and drag the Factorio window into a new Space, as seen here: It full screens on the primary display OK, but all other monitors become unusable as they display a black screen. On macOS the current Full Screen option does not work nicely with multiple monitors. UPDATE: I tried a third time this afternoon, and this time it loaded and opened the game successfully in windowed mode, but several seconds after opening the puzzle I was in, it forced the game into fullscreen mode.I searched but couldn't find this being mentioned before: I tried again several minutes later, to the same result, only this time instead of shutting down, my computer popped back up after a few seconds with a notification saying something along the lines of "your desktop has suffered a crash, but saved it" Any ideas? This soon caused my whole desktop to cut to black (what I presume to be the game being confused about its status in windowed mode), before rebooting the whole computer. ![]() However, shortly after that the game froze and cut to black. I used that, which sent the game into windowed mode, seemingly solving my problem. The game itself offers no way of doing this, but Steam itself has commands that allow you to do so without the game's support. I and several others would like to play in a window as opposed to fullscreen. Let me see if I can explain my problem better. Go to this folder and try removing items one by one:ĭocuments>My Games>Infinifactory>BIG NUMBER>custom> I don't know if the directories will be the same in windows 7 (im in windows 10) but try this. But if im understanding correctly, you might have a corrupted custom file or something of the sorts. Цитата допису IronSmeltery:I don't think there is a windowed mode.
